I just know some people who own huge retail chains who thinks KKS is a disaster in the making. They are growing by expansion, and their strategy is lame at best. Look SBUX,FD and other retailers I like on the short side have bled down slowly. Eventially we get are Whoosh. I prefer the Banks here on the short side, because I believe that if the trend of lower rates and lower credit demand continue in unison the banks will get Decimated. Retailers can always restructure and downsize and they can keep the dream alive. Look at Kmart on its last legs for ten years.

frankly I make no distinction between Kmart/walmart or Target. they are all the same animal to me. I think the Sears/JC Pennies/Bloomingdales of the world are finnished because either your high end or low end there is not much room in the middle, especially when things get really tight. On top of that Walmart/Target have much far superior technology and inventory systems that make them competitive in ANY price catalog.
