nutz. This has been one of the most rapid declines on a number of accounts -- the brunt of it hasn't even begun to be felt, regardless of what the financial markets do

I'll take the other side of that bet.

You can't have the degree of wage losses we have seen lately and not see a significant fall in the markets. The fact that the buck is taking a kidney punch will also weaken the resolve of the foreign buyers, who currently hold this crazy thing up. I would be surprised if the major indexes are not down substantially by Christmas.
