grinder: I am not trying to "Twist" anything.. You remarked that I should have learned that QCOM leaves nothing to "chance". I happen to disagree with that viewpoint. And provided case studies of each.

I think QCOM should provide "any technical assistance" that NW would require once NW starts to build out their network.. (Like making a 1xEVDO, GSM800/1900, CDMA 1X) Multimode/band Asic.. After all.. It's hard to be a "Carriers carrier" when you don't have a phone/Asic to actually sell your service to "outside carriers".. Any timeline on when a 1xEVDO/GSM800/1900/1x 800/1900 MSM Asic will be available?

Nextwave appears to have all the funding they need.. (Without QCOM's participation)..

I just think it is a Bad Idea.

Nothing more, Nothing Less

Best Regards,
PCSTEL

Anatel...a lowering of the $952 million reserve price is probably the only option available to them.

I am not clear why doing this will spur bidders. Is the cost of building out a GSM system in the spectrum much less than the cost of the spectrum licenses?
