Tell you a shortcut...

Fill in a layer of Huggies diaper stuff on the bottom before filling the planter up with dirt....

Keeps the soil moist, reduces the need for watering and also reduces, almost eliminates drainage.....

I got a bunch of planters myself...the rail planter looks like a wonderful idea.....

I like those rail planters... just what I need. However, the rail around my patio is metal with a 1" top. I wish they had that size! I would like to start an herb garden.

You grow herbs... do you like to cook?
