I'm ready to trade bonds if it gets to that. LOL.

Seriously, I personally couldn't care which way it goes, as long as there is momentum and volume, but you should be careful what you ask for, since if we crash from here, the market will be dead(er than it already is a la Japan 1990's crash aftermath), and there won't be much to talk about anymore here on SI.

:o)

T.

P.S. You guys are all very bearish, IMHO.

Run through a list of SI boards. Remove the usual permabulls (as you should have when we were at the top with the permabears) it is pretty clear to me that most in the SI universe are predicting doom and making "you ain't seen nothing yet" kinds of comments.

It is incredibly bearish on SI.

I don't know where you put SI posters but I would suspect they reflect a fair sample of investors that watch the market on a daily basis.

agreed, Dave... Teresa is reading onedimensionally in psychology

never before have we seen a stock decline while the dollar remained strong
now the dollar is coming down
and will take stocks for a retest of lows at least
as foreign holders will become sellers to some extent
I see slightly lower lows on the horizon

plenty of positive psychology remains, too much
of course, Teresa notes much negative psych
but the positive remains alive and well in the form of mindless "2ndHalf Recovery" and "Faith in the Fed"

well, news is out, we are almost two months into the 2ndHalf
and forward guidance sucks the long big one
not to mention the stream of attacks I have never seen before against the once deified Alan GreenBear

I see a strong likelihood of a 2ndHalf Recovery...
in 2002

meanwhile, some painful news warnings will come next month
and forward guidance will be dismal
stocks will seek new lows
if the USdollar comes down during this time, then that will define the bottom
since exporters and multinationals will be encouraged
