bigot: One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics

That might be acceptable but it sort of requires gays to achieve protected status...don't think we are there yet, but close.

Is bigot any better? Using it in this context would diminish its usefulness as a term generally applied to racial interrelationships. If we're going to broaden the definition of bigot, do we have to include those, for example, who don't like blondes? Are people who tell blonde jokes now to be called bigots?
