Indeed. Commercials rolled big to the short side.

Into last Tues close.

Then, unless they lost a big pile of money every day since? They reversed direction, covered and possibly added longs the rest of the week!

Not the first time I've seen this pattern of gold price making big ST trend changes the day or day after the COT reporting deadline.

Stopped out of PDS for sm ST loss, and CRZO for a moderate ST gain, and a good chunk of my CDE positon @ .94 a tad above where I pur it wk or 2 ago.

Like going into the weekend with cash @ 65% on the clse vs 57% yesterday. Not hard to leave a good taste in my mouth by washing it down with nice ST net net from the 3 position sales.

Gold had a good run since Tuesday and my portfolio benefited a lot from that this week.

Let's see what next week brings. In a strong position to add to or reload in favs in Gold or NG on any good consolidation in those 2 sectors.

This is a fascinating market.
