KalKan - Re:"Now imagine for a second if GTW, HP and Compaq drop AMD"

Just wait a little while and that might happen. All three are decreasing the use of AMD's processors.

That big sucking sound is AMD going done the sewer.

Kal Kan - Re: "Now imagine for a second if GTW, HP and Compaq drop AMD. AMD will shutdown FAB-25, cut other costs and break-even on tier-2, 3, white box and DIY sales of around $700M a quarter. Intel on the other hand will have to give everybody sweet deals, further eroding ASP. Mikey will be the first to jump ship as his advantage evaporates and announce an AMD laptop win."

WoW !!

Things really are looking rosy for AMD - the more customers they lose, the better off they are !!

Your example of AMDroid logic has hit a new pinnacle of absurdity !

I thought the AMDroid mantra is to increase market share at any cost!! Anyway, this WAS the right strategy for AMD before spending billions on a new Fab to take-on the evil empire. But thanks to your genius CEO, AMD share price will likely see single digits...
