blah blah blah. a lot of words, yet they say nothing. how exactly does your love for commodities now mesh with your prediction of a depression? depressions generally mean deflation, not inflation. the '70s was a period of high (for the US) inflation with several shorter periods of recession, but hardly a depression. it was also, a period of high taxation, social change and general distrust of government compounded by socialism in Europe, communist revolution in the third world, protectionism in the US, general anti-Americanism abroad, and a powerful oil cartel. that's the environment in which commodities performed well. are you calling for a repeat of that or a depression?

never mind and bye bye.
