I believe you may find that to be a false hope. I seem to remember that, after the last time the opposition won some elections or was going to win them, Mugabe invalidated them (the elections and the opponents). He then turned up the heat on white farmers and homosexuals (preferring to find enemies of the people rather than confront reality). AIDS is a huge problem in his country. The widespread nature of the epidemic is generally credited to the widely-denied but equally widespread use of heterosexual anal intercourse as a form of birth control.
