The history Jain's "AA" label...

Some have given Levy much grief and sh*t over the past year or so, regarding his (and many others) referring to Jain as "AA" (Arrogant A**hole"). However, just to remind some of you, I must point out that according the article (linked below) in the Washington Post, Levy DID NOT originate the concept of being Jain being an "AA." And Levy certainly CAN NOT take credit for it. And...IMHO, he most certainly would be sued by Jain himself (perhaps with using some sort of patent "pending," or trademark infringement), if he tried to claim its origin for himself.

Just to refresh the memories of you old-timers on this thread, according to the old Washington Post article linked below, the original concept of Jain being an "AA," came from Jain himself (the article below also contains a reference to "Kool-Aid," which INSP's "former" CEO Arun Sarin mentioned as being guilty of "drinking," during a recent interview):

(Just one excerpt from above linked article)

In the InfoSpace reception area, there is a magazine story about Jain mounted on the wall. It features this prominent quote: "I think most people think of me as an arrogant [expletive], and that's the perception I want. It says don't mess with me, or you'll be crushed."

Gee, what a fun guy to work for!

No wonder there has been such an absolutely incredible turnover of executives exciting the company as fast as they can the past few years. By my count, the COO position alone has turned over about five times in the last year and a half or so. But the BOD just sits there on their a**es, and all seem to say in unison, "What...Me worry."

I also hear if you look in the "Jobs Openings" at INSP, there's even a current opening for a "Security Guard." Much needed, I'm sure. I thought about applying myself...but I'm just not sure how much I can "trust" my own "security" lately. :)
