If we were buying signed helmets for historic and MONETARY value, Joe Nameth would have to win hands down. Remember at the time, he did the unthinkable, brought a victory to the AFL over the NFL!

There was no way this was going to happen, it was laughable to have the two competing when there was really no competition. How could this young upstart throw the ball against a really GREAT NFL defense? People watched to see that cocky Nameth get creamed...what an upset!

He changed the thinking of professional football forever.
