I found this in another chat room - cannot confirm -

What the insiders are
Buying or Dumping

8/18/01

I compile these ratios every week. Thought I would share with the group.

Insider update and what insiders are telling us:
insider buy/sell sector ranking is anything under 1.5 is bullish anything over is
bearish (as of 8-17-01 close)
These are year to date: Last week/This week
Finance .40 .41 very bullish
Health Care 2.14 2.28bearish
Consumer Non-Durables 1.48 1.59
Consumer Services 3.01 3.14 bearish
Consumer Durables 1.10 1.17 bullish
Energy 1.08 1.00 bullish
Transportation 5.50 5.63 ouch nasty this one worries me the most!
Technology 9.31 9.39 can you say “dump.com” heeheee
Basic Industries 1.76 1.73 bearish
Capital Goods 1.76 1.85 bearish
Public Utilities .73 .71 very bullish

The overall is still extremely bearish not the sign of a long term bottom. The overall
as of 8-10 was a whopping 3.76. The last 4 historic market lows since 1974 this
ratio averaged .96 We arent even close to a major bottom and any pop we get are
counter trend rallies from the primary trend which is bear. Hit and run tactics with a
negative overall bias will dominate the trading for a very long time until this ratio
goes under 1.09.
Don't shoot the messanger lol.
