I was responding to a post about Abby and how, like Elaine "the Gar" Garzarelli before her, she's now regarded as a bit of a joke. Of course, on the way up she was a genius.

I think somewhere in Justin Mamis' book, The Nature of Risk, he talks about how the majority are right during the trends, since they create them, but at the turns, they are usually wrong.

I find at the tops and bottoms, you find more people at "consensus" than at other times. And the ones who hold the opposite opinion stick out like sore thumbs.

This is the trick to market timing, to find the part where (the trend is your friend, until the end,) when it bends. The majority usually fails to negotiate the final corner and falls off a cliff.
