Hi 2Mar$, all I can say is that not all REITs are equal. there are shopping mall REITs, commercial office REITs and so on.

I thought about them in March, but commercial real estate in under the influence of 2 competing forces:

1. The crappy economy

2. Lower interest rates

I wasn't sure which force would win out so I stayed away.

I know this may be border line blasphemous on a day traders thread, but there are REIT mutual funds. Here is one of the best.

finance.yahoo.com

Not only is up about 10% this year, I'm pretty sure it also yields between 5% and 10% dividends. Which is probably why it has gone up in value so dramatically since May.

Regards,
Chris
