What I will pay attention to is the CBOE total put/call open interest. It closed at .58 Friday, not very bearish

Allan, I take it you are saying not very bearish sentiment wise vs. not very bearish for market direction, or am I misunderstanding you?

I was looking at CBOE put/call open interest too, because I noticed that it barely rose during the last week or so while the PC ratio was rising. Went back and looked at April 4; FWIW, open interest was .57 then.

Of course, VIX and VXN were giving slightly different readings then. ;-)

Took a look at the COMPX falling wedge on a close-only plot; looks like it was already broken using closes. FWIW.
