AAPL opening retail stores. They should go ask Gateway about the retail stores concept. It is clearly AAPL is got problems with the channel distribution system and is looking to anything to wake up sales. We are talking about semiconductor equipment from Intel, Motorola and IBM that frankly is being pushing out the door ASAP before it is fully validated technically.
It is not Lasyboy furniture. I assume AAPL is expecting some continued nationwide retail store occupation rate declines coming up in order to do it cheaply otherwise look out below for APPL.

RE your Margin calls thoughts
Those fools on margin were eliminated a long time ago there may be some pretenders left here on this thread still. The people left in real drivers seat of this market are the shorts who have definitely raised their available cash purchasing power over the last year.

Make no doubt about it is strictly a "cash talks, BS walks" market right now.

Margin calls are another example of an argument that could be used to say that no downtrend will ever end. If we had just had a sudden collapse, maybe I could buy it, but that's not what we have had. What we have had is a gradual selloff over the past three months.
