I am not a short-term trend trader. That's why this thread focuses on long-term blowup plays. My long portfolio is set up not to be affected much by the "What's gonna happen tomorrow?!?!?!?!?" mania that pervades most of SI. FWIW, the vast majority of short-term predictions I read on SI are completely wrong. You can do well trading against whatever consensus you see on where the market will go next week. SI predictions on market direction and big brokerage house recommendations on individual stocks are two of the most useless things I have ever come across.
