I'm finishing up Steven Dunn's essays on writing poetry, called "Walking Light". It's the best I've ever read on the subject. I'm starting another one of William Matthews' collections, called "Time and Money". He was an amazing mind, a poet's poet, died about seven years ago quite suddenly at the age of fifty-one or so. And I'm part way through Maxine Kumin's collected works. She's considered to be one of the finest living American poets and I now understand why. Very closely-written, beautifully-rhymed stuff. We've rented "The Gift" and are making pizza, so I'll see you guys tomorrow with a fresh copy of the Times. Enjoy your night.
