I don't think you have been listening, but yes Maybe in 500 years old growth will regrow from clearcuts. It all depends on what your objectives are. Objectives are set by lawful processes that are operative in this country, but not others where boards and fiber will come from if YOU don't stop trashing forest management in this country. Canada is already supplying the forest products we no longer produce in this country because you made forest management into a political circus. And the Canadians have a much more cavalier style than we do.Other countries like Siberia and Indonesia, only more so. Or big trees should be bid for and licenced (licensed)like wild game You might be on to something here. Why don't you write your congressman? You do understand that nobody gives the trees away, don't you?
