Your premise and point are false and mistaken ...

the element of "awareness" is both in the DNA
which contains the blue-print for the growth
of the organism and in the formation along
the way thru birth , and in the completion
of the wiring of the brain.

But there is much more that completes the picture
as a "human" is not fully formed at birth and
a completly councious sentient being . There
are an incredible amount of other stimulus and
experiences that are necessary for the formation
of that counciousness to form.

Your point also that only human's have awareness and
self-conciousness is false . Primates also demonstrate
these qualities , somewhere near a 3yr old human
level .

What part of the evolution of counciousness as an ongoing
process from conception thru birth and on , can't you imagine ?

It is a vast ongoing process , that takes a human being
thru all the stages of the developement from physical
birth to continued formation of brain~body functions,
motor-skills , perception , learning and experience
that ultimately leads to a fully
formed "human".

Your faith that science has no answers is absurd , for
many scientists especially in anthro-pology ,psychology, astronomy , physics and medicine
are some of the more "aware" people I have met .

It is your right to choose to have "faith" that science
has no clue , but you then are living in a pretty complete vaccuum ,
Mr Hodgkin.

don't implode please !
