Jg...Do you think the T contract win is reflected in current price?...I've got ALOT of shares and am a true believer in Ciena...I know we'll do fine long time...just wondering how long it will be dead money. Writing CC's on my position in the meantime. Best of luck to you. PoetTrader

T is about $70 billion in debt, they have lost L.D. market share - from 90% to about 40% currently, and they see sluggish growth going forward. What makes you think that T will save Ciena's butt from the general decline of spending? Just as there were mega factors at work that led to the huge capital expenditure binge, such as the quick early expanse of the Internet and telecommunications deregulation, there are now mega factors, such as huge debt structure, at work to limit upside expansion in this industry. The message is clear: the 3-5 year outlook has greatly diminished and stock prices should adjust. This is still a stock market in which high expectations are lagging behind reality.
