EP, the 1.5Ghz was supposed to be a Palomino which I would consider a new architecture like going from PII to PIII or from PIII to tualatin. I am not an expert but there must have been process changes also in order to get the power consumption down by 20%.

Charles, I think you're over stating the significance of the changes but even if you're correct you should be even more concerned. It's the TBird that is stuck at 1.4GHz. The A4 is stuck at 1.2GHz. That would be 8 months late and 20% underspeed. But I forgot... if it's 8.5 months late then you'll consider it a serious problem... It looks like a serious problem to the rest of us now.
