I'm talking the gateway drug argument. Yes, I know the stats, and it's important not to imply causality, but I think that for those who tend to be addictive, moving from pot to heroin and other drugs which really ensnare the brain feels easy. I worked as a drugand alcohol counselor for a few years and talked to my clients about this a lot. I'm no expert and this is just my opinion, but it's something I've seen and it's frightening.
