OT: Thanks for the "heads up" on the link. I did not have my "identity" stolen, but I did have my credit cards stolen earlier this year. I then spent a fair amount of time making sure that my identity was not stolen. One of the most important things you can do is call the 3 major credit agencies and ask them to make sure that no credit is taken out in your name without your explicit approval. The credit agencies then put a "fraud alert" on your account, good for 7 years.
