I wish these writers would get things straight. Dell did not reduce any estimates for next quarter.
Dell did not give any estimates. The Analysts guessed what Dell would do next quarter and since they were wrong (not uncommon) they had to reduce their own estimates, not Dells.
Also Dell did not start this price war. AOL,CPQ and EEEE started it several years ago with all those "free" computer ads in the stores and papers-provided you pay Compuserve for 3 years of the ISP and sign up for mail-in rebates.
Apparently free, when Dells lowest price was over $699 minimum. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
