L-Regarding the Laptop article, I haven't seen it, but I have read earlier articles on other subject matters, which tend to be rather loose with the facts and conclusions. I agree emphatically with the notion that the biggest variable here is the world economic situation, which seems to get worse simply because the most important decisionmakers simply don't know how to run a government, make policy, and negotiate with others.
