Cisco's latest optimism may indicate that SanDisk's industrial business will pick up...

...as a direct result. Clearly a stable demand for flash memory devices from
the telecom markets will help to counterbalance some of the turbulence in the
consumer markets experienced over the last 2 or 3 quarters.

I have no idea whether the pricing improvements will stimulate more demand
for flash products from the telecom industry, but I suspect that Eli's pricing
"elasticity" argument extends beyond the consumer markets.

The only other wild card is the Smart Modular/Solectron alliance with Lexar.
SanDisk has a track record with some of the telecom players and my understanding
is that they prefer NOR-based solutions. I think Eli mentioned some NAND
products originating from the SanDisk/Toshiba JV were going to be qualified as well.
