My approach to analysis is normally on a relative basis. For example, my main issue with the NEW HIGHs-LOWs was the WEDGE. That chart on the wedge has already incorportated those issues.

Many analysis are linear. I too at times use a linear approach, but I prefer to rely on more relative issues. Another example - In April the NEW HIGHs-LOWs reached 1000 and as of yesterday it was only slightly negative. Using the fact that some firms no longer exists, that still would not account for a 1000 point difference, so its still fair to just say that the recent NEW HIGHs-LOWs are not as negative as APRIL.

So my position is that if one looks at if strickly from a linear approach, then thats a valid issue, but from a relative analysis - I dont think it means that much.
