Emotions & GX:

I too believed -- and still do -- in the George Gilder world of Global Crossing being a dominant player.

Nobody likes to lose money. But if one of the purposes of this thread is to encourage a dialogue of pros and negative issues regarding Global Crossing, then there has been an admitted lack of focus on negative issues.

Insider selling, significant debt capitalization, financial incentives for management personnel that left the individual shareholder high and dry are -- are all reasons to question the value of the common stock.

I personally believe that Global Crossing will survive and excel, but at the expense of the common shareholder. Either a recapitalization will need to be performed or bond holders will ultimately control the company. The reasons are based upon revenue growth, market opportunities, and management actions.

I know that the pro GX readers don't want to listen to my concerns, but it is comforting to finally witnessing a full discussion on Global Crossing -- instead of a continual hype.
