CyberKnazi.....you say,"These instruments(T-bills, etc ) are OWNED by their investors, who can not only collect the interest, they can sell them and invest in something else as they choose.' Are you saying that the SSA is not owed or is not collecting interest on the bonds it bought from the government?? And btw, save your demagogic filibustering diatribes for the RWE's in you audience.....they may be impressed, I'm not. I have to work at being dumb....
