Sig, I'm an 'against the grain' kind of guy, so perhaps October won't be a bloodbath this year. I would have to think (my opinion only of course) that not too many funds are still holding the 'playing with matches' stocks as I have called them many times. JDSU at 7.50, LU at 6.50, NT at 6.65, CSCO at 16+ tells me the big sellers are out. If the economy continues on a downward slope, my guess is a continued 'slow grind' down in the markets. I've read quite a bit about how the housing market is still providing a 'prop' for consumer spending, but it scares the heck out of me when I read about how leveraged the consumer is.

Best regards,
John
