It was suggested that specific women on SI fell into this category. Since nobody on SI knew anything about the personal lives of those concerned, it seemed a bit over the top to me. One incident among many.

Deciding what is "childish, rude or overemotional" is where the rub lies...

I don't think it's hard. Every time we choose to respond to provocation we decide whether to rise above or sink to or below the level of what provokes us. It's not too hard to tell one from the other.
