. Even if Steven doesn't take these things personally, its hard to beleive he thinks we should all react in the same way he does... I want to weigh in on Steven's side in this. When I was a youngster, I had a great deal of difficulty maintaining my composure in the face of slights. I worked very hard to overcome that. I had always though of the process as one of growth and maturation. And I came to enjoy the strategic advantage that dispassionate composure provided. So I agree with Steven that it is the more evolved and smarter course. OTOH, I'm prepared to be tolerant <GGG> of those who lack the ability to restrain themselves or who, as you say, make a principled or strategic choice to lash back. Karen
