A: (Irwin) S/ have this by end of year. Target is $100 x-factory. Originally these units were going to be voice only; and now will have some data capability due to BREW.

A: (Irwin)We do not have a problem there. Are concerned w/ LA economies, especially Argentina; expect some impact on overall cell business. However, QCOM’s market will grow due to the low cost phones and expansion of CDMA networks at the expense of TDMA networks. MSM 5010 is the low cost phone chip. It will have new features to lower the total handset cost and new low-cost 1X software.

Obviously they also plan to use this chip in India - makes sense, no?
