Remember Janet Malcolm? Yes, if I remember the name right -- the journalist who totally made up stories out of whole cloth? Not the same case at all, IMO. She had no basis at all for what she wrote. Pure invention. Whether or not you agree thatwhat brees said was accurate -- and you will please note that I have carefully refrained from making ANY comment about that -- he was at least basing his statements on a fairly lengthy written record provided by the person in question.
