I read somewhere that if the trust was truly a trust earning 5% interest that had compounded we would never need to add to it as we wouldn't spend the interest. Doesn't that piss you off?
Enormously. After seeing that, HOW can ANYONE be against privatizarion?

If the SS funds were in something OTHER than federal gov't bonds, there would be actual REAL income that at this point would be paying for the checks going out each month.

What idiocy. Only the gov't could come up with a scheme like this.

Another way the government fools people is by taking the money out of their paychecks. If people had to pay it at the end of the year, they would really be outraged..

It is the same thing with taxes.
