AMD orders from ASML which is now the parent company of SVG.

If you were ASML and your 193nm steppers were in short supply, who would you rather sell them to, AMD or Intel?

fingolfen, It was all over the news a few weeks ago that the SVG Steppers that Intel had ordered were delayed at least twice and Intel was looking for alternatives. One of the alternatives mentioned was that Intel was supposed to use mask shifts in order to get the early .13 parts out the door, the other was that they were qualifying equipment from other vendors. I can't believe you missed it. AMD orders from ASML which is now the parent company of SVG. I know nothing of photoresist and the other details. I only reported what was in the news.

I disagree here, I think you're taking an analysts view as fact (if I remember the article correctly). Intel has repeatedly indicated that 193nm lithography is not a part of their 0.13 micron process ramp. I honestly think this is a case of one or two analysts trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. If you can link to the specific article, I could respond to it more cohesively.
