Hey, you're preaching to the choir. All I'm saying is that spending is what makes this economy tick. Whether it's government spending, consumer spending or business spending, we don't care as long as people keep spending. The consumer shoe may be just about to fall. The business spending shoe has already fallen. The interest rate cuts aren't doing didly. That means the government can only do a couple things to spur economic growth in the short term: decrease taxes (already done) and spend like there's no tomorrow (haven't done that yet). So if we start dipping into recession, I bet you my bottom dollar, we'll see some heavy spending on the military as well, as some other well placed cash infusions into our economy. Count on it.
