They're as bad as the Kennedy's.Assailant: I Caught Hillary's Brother Having Sex With My Girlfriend Monday, August 20, 2001 LAKE WINOLA, Pa — A brother of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Tony Rodham, was assaulted early Sunday by a man who allegedly caught him having sex with the man's girlfriend, police said. Tony Rodham, 47, was attacked by Daniel Martin Coyne at the Rodham family's summer cottage in this small vacation community about 115 miles north of Philadelphia, police said. Coyne, 45, was charged with assault, burglary and trespassing. He was released Monday from the Wyoming County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail. Coyne told police he climbed onto the porch of the cottage around 5 a.m. and saw Kelly Ann Quick, 36, and Rodham having sex in the living room, according to a police affidavit. He told police Quick was his girlfriend. Coyne said he went into the house and started kicking Rodham. The noise awoke Rodham's brother, Hugh Rodham, who came downstairs and ordered Coyne to leave, the affidavit said. Coyne returned to the cottage a short while later to retrieve his house key from Quick and allegedly attacked Tony Rodham again. Hugh Rodham and Quick helped to restrain Coyne after the second attack, documents said. Coyne was arrested after calling state police from the emergency room at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, where he was treated for lacerations, a swollen eye and a dislocated shoulder. Tony Rodham, a consultant, told police he hit Coyne in self-defense, documents said. Rodham suffered scrapes on his face and ear and a swollen nose, police said. The police report did not indicate why Coyne went to the cottage in the first place. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 28. The Rodhams have an unlisted telephone number in Lake Winola and could not be reached for comment. No one answered the phone at Coyne's residence. Quick has an unlisted number. The senator's office did not immediately return a phone call. Tony Rodham made news earlier this year after aides to former President Clinton said Rodham had pushed for pardons Clinton issued last year to Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory, who were convicted of bank fraud in 1982. Hillary Clinton defended her brother, saying he had not been paid for the effort. In 1994, Tony Rodham married Nicole Boxer, the daughter of Sen. Barbara Boxer of California.
