Fingolfen, on gate widths and what can be done to improve them with or without the new steppers, thanks for explaining in non-heavy duty process engineering terms. Now I know what is meant by AMD having possibly "shot their wad" somewhat before getting to 0.13.

fingolfen, semiconeng, thanks for the info. I have one final question. So, when they say .13u it does not necessarily mean anything. What other CPU features change when migrating to .13u besides gate lengths? Can you give me percentages on effect of cpu speed up per feature?
