wanna, The heat sink is far away from the silicon where the thermal diodes sit and there is no way that even a huge heat sink will stop them from operating under peaking loads.
The delay time is simply too great.
An actively cooled cryo heat sink might be able to forestall this as long as the temp was low enough.
