Saw, I don't think that GX has an equity interest in Nextwave. Nextwave went Chpt. 11 before GX made the investment. It was in the works but I don't think it ever went down. QCOM does have ~6% interest in Nextwave and is putting more in. The other pieces of the new financing have not been made public that I know of. If someone knows the other participants of the new financing package let me know. I'll bet you Winnick is involved. Had to put that money from the collar to work. (g)

I haven't seen GX mentioned in the latest news stories regarding the meeting Salmasi had to discuss the new funding. What may be a more likely situation is that instead of funding, GX will give Nextwave a bargain price for data transmission, in return for getting a guaranteed percentage of the total (kind of like they did with EXDS).

Of course, if Nextwave ends up being a wholesaler to other wireless companies, you could end up with the interesting situation that companies like Verizon or Sprint would be essentially buying capacity from GX... wouldn't that be a hoot.
