Not true. You do not get to increase your depreciation just because the replacement cost has decreased. You have to depreciate based on the original cost. For example, we often junk computers long before they are depreciated.

When discussing the replacement value of GX network, remember how difficult to obtain are the Landing Rights for the various national landings. Here in CA, festoon loops are no longer permittable, and my understanding is the Federal rules are not getting less complex, either.
