you might want to clarify by saying in a "bear market". those things are fine in a bull market. too bad some people are too dense to tell what kind of market we are in and what metrics are most important to look at.

You are correct but what I should have really clarified was my reference was to the company's fundamentals. It became obvious during the bubble years that fundamentals and stock movements did not correlate well. To quote Bezos (sorry i could not resist<G>), the stock price is not the company.
