Well, well, this is shaping up to be seminal day. It feels to me like the Wall St community is trying to turn public sentiment around here. Of course, it is in their interest to do so. Equity funds have been losing money, of course, but not YET at an alarming rate. Could the AJC and Kerschner calls be part of an orchestrated attempt to stanch public fear? It feels that way to me. This is why I think the Fed is going to do something surprising today. The Fed and WS have the same agenda-- restore investor confidence. I can't wait to see what G does at 2:15

To put Abby S&P target in another perspective...

It was mentioned that it represents a 28% increase in the index by year end. Given that there are only about 4 months left in the year, it also represents about an 84% annual growth rate for the index fo the last 4 months of the year.

And to think, she probably makes more money than all of us here for this crap.
