totally agree... when i started trading, those are the moves i was looking for... (bull market helped of course).. what i have been doing recently is learning the swingtrade techniques to cope with range-bound markets.

in other words, trying to build the complete package as a trader and seeing which i like. i have learned a lot these past few months.

im a true believer that there is always a sector that is trending/money flowing into. whether it's gold, casino sector, cyclicals, etc.

you just have to spot them.
