No just make a list of cluckisms for future reference it may come in handy. They are meaningless intimidations and we should be fully informed on the growing list. They do have power or they wouldn't have come into vogue so fast.

Many years ago I was teaching a class to high schoolers. I had a tough spanish speaking kid in my class who kept blurting out spanish words to the amusement of his friends. It was disrupting the class and I asked him to stop doing it. I know some spanish but hadn't heard any of these words so I started making a list for future reference.

One day he blurted out one of these cute phrases and I asked him what it meant. He told me, it meant that I was a really smart guy. The other spanish speaking students roared. OK, so later in the day I crossed paths with Deno, this giant lineman on the football team. I said, "hi Deno, I think you are a really smart guy." He said thanks. I said, "and Earnie Martinez says you are a Pinche Cavrone." Deno huffed off.

Pretty soon here comes Earnie, blasting into my room begging me to clear things up with Deno. Well, of course Earnie had to clear some things up for me first...like helping me with the definitions for the list of words that I had written down on my little pad. He was embarrassed but did as I requested. I told him that if I heard any more of these words in class, I would be sharing the little dictionary with his dad. The blurting problem was resolved. Things went fine after that and Earnie and I got along just fine.
