Wow- terrible story.
I note in his record that he performs well if he has a positive connection to the people requiring him to do work. This is so sad, and so typical. A child like this needed someone to step in YEARS ago, to act in loco parentis, to get him to focus on his education, and a career. Prison will only destroy all the positive traits in that record. When he gets out he will be a hardened criminal at the very least.

What a waste.
