>>I wonder if ERICY bought into CDMA with the infrastructure deal with the intention to concentrate on 3G CDMA - 1X and cdma2000, vs. getting into 95A/B? Could that be what took them so long to show up on the CDMA radar screen?<<

Though I cannot easily put my hands on the contract or PR announcement, I believe the Ericy contract with LWIN stated that the contract was for next generation CDMA infrastructure. I have always presumed that Ericy was entitled to that contract since the original spinoff documents granted QCOM at least 50% of the infrastructure contracts issued by LWIN. Interestingly, the NT contract with LWIN which came along last year and is not as large as the LU and Ericy expanded contracts was announced by an LWIN press release which said the contract was for next generation CDMA gear in the Northeast. All of the above is from memory only but I did comment upon it at the time so am quite confident that at least my wording is close to that used.

At any rate, if the information seems significant to you I am certain you can find the press release on LWIN's site and the contract terms in free Edgar. Lance
